Time for some cherry blossoms
Lovely cherry blossoms... I finally got to experience the famous Japanese cherry trees in full bloom. Gives me a special feeling to see those unusual colors all over. I can understand why the cherry blossom is the subject of so many Japanese poems, songs and other literary works.
Spring is the best season in Japan, climate-wise at least. Unfortunately for all of us that are allergic to pollen, spring can be quite tough too, as there are so many flowering trees and other plants.

Coming home from a night out, around 6 in the morning.. usually, this is one of the most busy roads in my area.

It's been nice to have over 2 months vacation, but I'm glad to continue my studies. It all starts again on Thursday, 9:15 in the morning. Will most likely be placed in the "Intensive Japanese 2" class. I'm also joining a tennis club and a football club; need some excersise and it will give me some good opportunities to use my Japanese (not that I don't get a lot of opportunities already). Will be interesting to see how it's like to be in a Japanese sports team... I believe the team mentality to be different from what is common in Sweden. Perhaps Japanese team members look more to the team as a whole, rather than their own personal performance and such... we'll see! I'm sure there are always the altruistic playmakers, the egoistic sore losers and the more neutral guys. I asked my host mother if we have a tennis racket in the house and she found two.. but they didn't have the wires or nets on.. so I'll have to go to a sports shop and get it fixed if I want to use one of them.
