End of 2006 Super Mega Post
Like I said in the previous post, I had a lot of photos that until now remained unposted. Here they are! We start with my birthday, December 1st. I went to an Italian restaurant (in search of the finest pizza in Tokyo) with my good friends. The pizza was nice, although it can't compete with the fantastic Boat Quay pizza in Singapore.. nothing can..!

Davide and Tomoko in Roppongi station (I hate that station because going down to the platform takes about 10 minutes... going up when you're in a hurry and it's crowded is probably one of the most exhausting things you can do in Tokyo).

Andy and Davide, a Brit and an Italian. Davide drinking an espresso after the dinner. Andy holding on to his beer, whether rain or shine.

The fantastic night of K-1 World Grand Prix 2006
Inside Tokyo Dome.

Me and my "housemate" from Iceland. Quite excited, yes.

The fight is on! We had "ringside" tickets, but still pretty far away...

One of the best Japanese fighters, Musashi. He looked pretty tired this time though..

All the way from Germany!

Remy Bonjasky in serious pain after receiving an accidental (we think) kick to the groin. He got kicked TWICE that fight... I hope he's fine.
The fight was stopped and continued later that evening, but this is how Remy got back to the dressing room; in some weird car driven by one of the ring-girls.
The fighter walks in to the ring..

THE 2006 K-1 WORLD GP FINAL!!!

Semmy Schilt from Holland was ...carried in.

...and he won! It was an awesome evening. I screamed so much I almost lost my voice. The Japanese audience is very special.. very silent when nothing is going on, but is very attentive and reacts to everything very quickly. They respect the fighters a lot. Ernesto Hoost probably fought his last fight this evening, I'm really glad I got the opportunity to see it. What a great career! Four-time champion! Schilt is looking like he can go even further, though.. He's extremely strong.. I just can't see any other K1 fighter defeat him right now.

Christmas in Tokyo
Cooking food and baking apple cake with Tomo.

Nice apple cake! X-mas accessories provided by Tomo.

We had chicken and potatoes, drank wine! Always nice to eat some normal, boiled potatoes.. not that I don't like Japanese rice, I love it, but potatoes always provide a quick remedy to homesickness.

Sophia Philharmonic Orchestra

One of the members of the Philharmonic Orchestra in Sophia University gave me and some friends free tickets - great! The music was really nice! Listen for yourself! The concert hall was surprisingly large. The orchestra concists of university students and they were very skilled! I was really impressed.

anders, rackar-korridoren

hello storstadskillen.

kram
/Cissi
